Halal Taiwan (International Fresh Food Exhibition) is an exhibition on halal food. "Halal" certification means food that is allowed to be consumed by Islamic doctrines. The Ministry of International Trade, Taiwan's Ministry of Economic Affairs has opened the Taiwan halal center in 2017 and is working to foster Muslim-related industries. The population of Muslims in the world is said to be about 1.6 billion, and there are 240 million Muslims in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore alone, and it is estimated that halal food has a considerable market size.
